Rotate

The Rotate tool moves the object around the center axis in any direction. This is accessed by using E.

By pulling on any half circle, this tool will rotate the object from left to right, top to bottom, 

or completely upside down. 

You can change the hot key in Help - display settings. Click on pencil next to tool to customize the setting. 

If you want to move around the scene, spacebar with pan, alt/opt + spacebar +left click will move throughout the scene; left +right , and up+ down.
