Settings and User Manual is found under Help in the taskbar

Using a lower settings will not affect the final render. If you have an older computer, it is advisable to use lower settings to save memory. 

You can customize the hot keys but clicking on the pencil tool and choosing a new letter for the shortcut, if you want to change the default settings.
